The Male Reproductive System

The purpose of this post is to provide accurate information that will make the process of intimacy easier to understand and this knowledge can be helpful in guiding your lovemaking towards greater mutual fulfillment! Now lets talk about what he actually has down there.
Gonads - These structures produce reproductive cells including the male testicles. The male gonads are enclosed in the scrotum, which is a sac suspended between the thighs. The process of producing mature sperm cells beginning approximately age 12. This period is called puberty.
Epididymis - A tiny twisting segment of the tube that carries the sperm from the testicle to the portion of the tube called the vas deferens.
Seminal Vesicles - Two reservoirs where sperm get stored until the time of ejaculation or release. The majority of the fluid contained in the ejaculate is secreted here. Thus, after vasectomy there is still a release of milky fluid, just no sperm.
Penis - The male sex organ that is visible and external. At the time of sexual stimulation, blood rushes into its network of blood vessels. At the same time, small valves automatically close, preventing blood from circulating back into the body. As stimulation continues and blood flows in, the penis fills up, tightens, and stands rigid or erect.
*Studies show that most women don't gain the majority of their sexual satisfaction from the penis being in the vagina, no matter what size the penis is.
In most men the penis responds pleasurably to being stroked. The loose skin around its shaft forms what looks like a seam down the back side of the penis. For some this is the part most responsive to caressing. On average, the relaxed penis is about 3-1/2 to 4 inches long an erect penis is about 5 to 6-1/2 inches long, but there is variation from man to man. Contrary to popular thought, penis size has little to do with sexual pleasure or satisfaction for most women or men for that matter.
Glans Penis - The head of the penis. It contains a heavy concentration of nerve endings that play a major role in the sexual arousal of the male. In fact, the concentration is so heavy that men would prefer very gentle or even indirect stimulation here, as is true of women with the clitoris.
Prostate - Golf ball sized, walnut shaped gland. It secretes fluid into the serves as the counterpart to the same female mucus secreting glands. Prostate removal doesn't necessarily have to interfere with normal sexual functioning.
Semen - Thick, white sperm containing fluid that is ejaculated.
